Dr. Abigail Cashel
Dr. Abby Cashel grew up in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and envisioned becoming a veterinarian from an early age. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Veterinary Science at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, she continued her education and earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University.
Dr. Cashel’s clinical interests include soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, dermatology, and anesthesia. She is also passionate about increasing access to veterinary care and enjoyed working in shelter and community medicine settings throughout veterinary school. Dr. Cashel finds that one of the most rewarding aspects of her role as a veterinarian is the ongoing relationship that she can build with patients and their families. She loves working with families to help tailor their pet’s medical recommendations to meet their individual goals and needs.
Outside of work, Dr. Cashel enjoys running, hiking, birding, and reading. She also loves spending time with her family, friends, and her two rescued cats named Myrrh and Panko.
